Advice
Social media has brought a ton of opportunities for students and professionals to build business networks. Baruch College is already using a new media for student’s homework activities and library services. However, I believe that if college expands the use of new technology within campus would benefit more students than now. Most of the students commute from different boroughs, even from neighbor states to the campus to attend classes. First of all, they spend time and money in order to get to college to attend lectures. Instead of attending in class lectures I would recommend and create a live lectures where students and professors would communicate through online video sessions with each other just being at home. It would basically save everyone’s time and money.
Additionally, I would also advice to Baruch College to create a new media platform like social networking app within college students in order to help each other with school materials such as books, calculators, headphones, journals, gadgets, study resources etc. The main idea of this app would be to exchange school supplies with each other for free. For example, if I have got any book or supply for educational purposes, I would give it to those who needs to borrow for short time period. Consequently, when I would need for something else, I would be able to borrow it for free from other students within the college. In this way, students would benefit from each other and save their money.

I believe there is great value in Baruch creating such an app as you mentioned. The benefit of sharing college supplies such as a textbook for instance. Instead of renting a textbook for 3 hrs at the library to study, you and a classmate who is studying for the same exam can share a textbook or even create study groups through this social media platform. I see tremendous potential for such an application at Baruch College.
