 In our modern life the technology is changing everyday. Digital media is constantly evolving with new features and apps. It is really exciting to think about how new media will look like in the future. I think the influence of social media that we are using today to communicate with friends and family, to exchange information and data with each other will tremendously  increase. Nowadays, we use different apps and websites for different tasks to complete. For example, Instagram for pictures, Facebook for news and communications, YouTube for videos, Whatsapp for messaging, Uber for riding. In near future, we may have an app that will combine all of those social medias into one application. People would use this app to fulfill all of their needs. Because, it would be much more easier to people use one site instead of hundreds for different tasks. On the other hand it would also build a virtual personality and trustworthiness for businesses. Why for businesses? I will simply explain this in few words. Nowadays, banks, landlords, and other officials require people to prove their good credit history standing before having a business with them. This kind of social media which creates user's online personality would be something like credit history, like social media history. Businesses would get closer to people and build mutual relationships through social media.

Advice

Social media has brought a ton of opportunities for students and professionals to build business networks. Baruch College is already using a new media for student’s homework activities and library services. However, I believe that if college expands the use of new technology within campus would benefit more students than now. Most of the students commute from different boroughs, even from neighbor states to the campus to attend classes. First of all, they spend time and money in order to get to college to attend lectures. Instead of attending in class lectures I would recommend and create a live lectures where students and professors would communicate through online video sessions with each other just being at home. It would basically save everyone’s time and money. Additionally, I would also advice to Baruch College to create a new media platform like social networking app within college students in order to help each other with school materials such as books, calculators, headphone
