 In our modern life the technology is changing everyday. Digital media is constantly evolving with new features and apps. It is really exciting to think about how new media will look like in the future. I think the influence of social media that we are using today to communicate with friends and family, to exchange information and data with each other will tremendously  increase. Nowadays, we use different apps and websites for different tasks to complete. For example, Instagram for pictures, Facebook for news and communications, YouTube for videos, Whatsapp for messaging, Uber for riding. In near future, we may have an app that will combine all of those social medias into one application. People would use this app to fulfill all of their needs. Wiki so far

              For our class wiki I have been researching on business perspectives and benefits of social media in the future. What would be the benefits of social media on economic development. I have not contributed on class wiki yet, however as right now I am doing some researches about social media on business perspectives and economic development in order to contribute a decent and unique information on our class wiki. As we all know, social media technology has opened door and increased new opportunities for companies and businesses to market themselves. Consequently, it largely impacted to economic development and it is continuing to impact everyone's life mostly with economic benefits. Privacy

Recently, I have discussed some privacy issues in my term paperwork. Privacy is both ethical and legal concept. It should be protected with implementation of confidentiality and security. Nowadays, as new media is replacing the old fashioned system, the privacy issues are also increasing day by day. Social medias like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. are misusing user’s personal information. Even some of those information are being sold to ad companies in order to advertise their products for particular people who uses a search engine to look for any products or simply having a conversation with someone else on social media. Advice

Social media has brought a ton of opportunities for students and professionals to build business networks. Baruch College is already using a new media for student’s homework activities and library services. However, I believe that if college expands the use of new technology within campus would benefit more students than now. Most of the students commute from different boroughs, even from neighbor states to the campus to attend classes. First of all, they spend time and money in order to get to college to attend lectures. Instead of attending in class lectures I would recommend and create a live lectures where students and professors would communicate through online video sessions with each other just being at home. It would basically save everyone’s time and money. Additionally, I would also advice to Baruch College to create a new media platform like social networking app within college students in order to help each other with school materials such as books, calculators, headphone

Creativity and New Media

    In this blog I am going to write about a creativeness which new media allows us to do. As an example, I chose to talk about virtual platform "Second Life". Second Life is an online environment that created by Linden Lab a company based in San Francisco. Second Life is a virtual community that allows people to create their avatars and design them which represents themselves within virtual world. In the Second Life you are basically able to design your life, land, house, avatar and etc. This is a creative way of using new media. These days virtual sites like Second Life are becoming popular among young generation. After being assigned to create my own avatar I downloaded this site and designed my own avatar. It was interesting to see that how new media allows people to be more creative and design such sites and live in virtual world. You can also go to social gatherings, concerts, even college classes.
